Will I have a professional makeup and hair artist?

When you arrive at our Bristol boudoir photography studio you will be greeted by our photographer, Morag MacDonald and our professional make-up artist. The first hour is all about you, being pampered, having your makeup expertly applied. Our aim is to make your boudoir shoot a luxury experience.

Our makeup artists will also refresh your hairstyle and make sure you are feeling and looking at your best. There will be a supply of fresh coffee, teas or even a glass of sparkling wine should you need to vanquish any pre-shoot nerves.

What happens in a boudoir photography session?

Once your hair and makeup is done you will have up to 2 hours studio time with me, Morag MacDonald, as your photographer. This time gives plenty of time for changes of clothing and lighting to create some really different looking boudoir images and even some stylish art nudes for those who are brave enough!

I encourage you to bring 6-8 sets of underwear or looks that you like, I usually just shoot 4 sets, but this allows me to go through your accessories with you and select the ones that will work best on camera.  Always make sure that each thing you bring fits you well. We want you to feel great in every image!

I works in a gentle manner, making sure you feel confident and comfortable as the shoot progresses.

Who has a boudoir shoot?

Boudoir photography is all about body confidence. Over the last  years I have photographed women of all ages and sizes. Some people come to me for a boudoir shoot because they want to do something they have never done before and increase their body confidence, for others it is to get a one off gift for their partner on their wedding day or for a special birthday. I have photographed boudoir shoots for women celebrating milestone birthdays, including both 50th and 60th birthdays and have even photographed a woman who was celebrating her divorce!

But I am not a size 10... what about larger ladies?

As an experienced photographer, I have photographed women of all shapes and sizes. With good direction and lighting, each woman I photograph will feel empowered and confident. Boudoir is all about projecting a positive body image and indulging in a little self-love.

When will I see my images?

You will be invited back to Morag's studio about one week after your session. This is where your images will be unveiled and you can make selections to purchase in collections, albums, frames or canvases. Small frames start at £150 and image collections start at £495. Most people spend between £400 to over £1000 on products from their boudoir photography session.

"Wow, this has to be one of the best things I have ever done. Morag made me look and feel amazing. It was so hard to choose the images for the album."
